"Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand." ~ Chinese Proverb
This quote is a great start to explain my educational philosophy. I believe that students need to be actively engaged in their education, and involved in decision making. Having choice and high engagement helps create and sustain motivation to learn. I also believe in a growth mindset. Our intelligence is not a fixed point. This means that all children who are willing to work hard, view mistakes as first attempts in learning, and not give up, will learn at their highest potential. It is my job as an educator to help every child reach their potential, and help them discover their strengths and best strategies for learning.
